Ripping Games To 360 Hd?

This is probably a dumb question but I really haven't paid any attention to soft expoits.  But I was talking to some kids on live and this kid told me he hooked up the 360 hd to his comp (which I know you can do) and uploaded some software that allows him to rip games to the hd?  any idea if this is possible? I've never seen or even heard of this.  I'm pretty sure this guy is full of shit.
