Disabled And Wanting To Help
« on: November 28, 2006, 04:47:00 PM »

Hey

I have epilepsy, and am disabled.

I have nothing but free time, and would like to help with the 360 hacking scene.  I had fun helping out with the PSP, but thats gotten pretty boring for me.  Ive moved on to the 360 and would very much like to help any way I can.

If anyone could recommend some reading or links to some info to get me started with 360 specific hacking I be very grateful.

Thanks.

I have epilepsy

Please forgive my ignorance but I'd always believed that playing video games was a no no with this condition.  I'm pleased to hear that you’re not denied the pleasure of video gaming.  But the added level of risk has got'a be a concern? unsure.gif

Yea, most video games have like warnings and stuff all about this....says not to play because it might cause convulsing or something.  Be Careful...specially with HiDef...I think you might be more prone..

certain people with epilepsy can have their seizures triggered by flashing lights.  Games tend to have flashing lights in them.  It's kinda like a bufferoverflow for your brain, except nothing cool can come of it.  Most epileptics know (or certainly should know) if this or anything else can trigger their condition.  The warnings are just companies covering their asses.

The only time video games seem to affect my epilepsy, is when I'm really tired.  Even then the only kind of games that get to me are arcade shooters with lots of flashing lights and explosions, like Icaruga, etc.

Games like Oblivion, GTA, even games like Wipeout, have no affect on me.
