Software Exploits Using Xbox1 Games
« on: September 15, 2006, 05:53:00 PM »

Hi, I used to read topics on the xbox-scene forums when xbox360 was not out yt.. now ive come back to check on whats going on and i see a LOT of topics abt trying to use Xbox1 exploits on Xbox360.

I wonder whether the posters were being serious or just goofing around, but I thought this was stupid because exploiting the emulation layer on the 360 will probably not give you access to the hardware layer of the box (because emulation creates a fake hardware layer b/w 360 and the game). There must also be bugfixes to plug the holes in the original xbox in the emulator release.

But ive seen lik 10 ppl post threads that seem to assume otherwise.

My question is whether there is even a remote possibility that xbox1 games could be used to crack the security, and if so how?

and y does my post count say 1

The only possiblity that I can find for an Xbox 1 exploit is exploiting an unsigned game data file.  All the .xbe's are signed, so you can't touch those.  Previous buffer overflow exploits used on the Xbox 1 won't work either.  Nobody really knows.
