Google Public key/private key encryption.

But if your too lazy heres the basic

MS have 2 very very large prime numbers one is the private key which is used to sign/encrypt the games the other is the public key which is used to check the signed files to ensure they are valid.

The actual signing process is done by MS on code before it gets published.

The public key is embedded somewhere inside the console but not the public key.

While the public key is able to sign stuff it can only be decrypted with the private key which is why you cant just use a public key to sign code.

Its not the best description in the world as it too early for my brain to be at full speed.. But use google to do some reading on RC4 encryption and Public key / Private key encryption
