Another great idea, and so simple !
I'll give you two replies:
1)
If you have no idea what you are talking about please shut up and stop spamming this filth on these -technical- forums.
Ofcourse this won't work you moron. Why don't you just post in a play-doh! forum somewhere or disconnect from the internet all together and find another hobby.
2)
Ofcourse this won't work, here's why:
Mediaflag:
Setting in the xbe-header informing the xbox from what media this file can be run.
i.e. XBOX_DVD (for games) XBOX_HDD (for dashboard) CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD+R/etc (for backwards compatibility upgrade disc (xbox360), Kiosk Disc (xbox360), Xbox Live Arcade (xbox))
Signature:
SHA-1 hash contained in the xbe, see:
http://www.xbox-linu...ki/XBE_SecurityIf you change something in the xbe, for instance the mediaflag, then the signature will become corrupt.
The xbox(360) will not start a file for which the hash fails.
Therefore:
Create a copy of an original xbox game disc to a (re)writable disc and the mediaflag will prevent you from executing it.
Create a copy of an original xbox game disc to a (re)writable disc, changing the mediaflag before burning, the SHA-1 hash wil fail thus preventing you from executing it.
In other words:
Change anything in an xbe or the 360-equivalent > SHA-1 Hash failure > Xbox Security kicks in
(yes, this does include changing the mediaflag!)
Sidenote:
Why the $%^##%(@ do people come up with the same idea's as with the xbox (1) which have already been bashed lot's of times before.
