its probably a similar procedure to setting a background on windows from internet explorer (right click-set as desktop background)

what windows does is it saves the file as "internet explorer wallpaper.bmp" and sets it as background, when you choose a different image in IE it overwrites the old file

essentially this allows you to keep 1 image on your 360 HD, not really a big deal, the only hacking opportunity would probably be a buffer overflow, and the 360 has tons of protection against that (and the file wouldnt even have to be copied to the HD anyway)

You can keep more than one image, ive got about 6.
But if it isnt usefull anyway then fair enough.
