Hello, Thanks for any future help.

ahhh ok. I've downloaded surreal64, and it does not load up at all. So next I tried all kinds of bios's on my X2.2 and with no luck. I tried the EvoX M7, and all of the most recent X-ecuter bios. Since that didn't work I tried patching with xbepatch. I've also reinstalled the whole thing. Nothing! AH! I have set the rom path though I dont see what good its going to do if I cant even load the program. Help please. Thank You

Here are my specs:
X2.2 Lite
Xbox v1.0
included HD

BIOS I have used:
4977
4980.67
4980.06
4981.67
4981.06
M7

...jcain, a likely problem could be the in game reset (IGR) in your Evox options. There should be about 3 you need to turn off. Try that out.
SnoW, have you ever installed anything onto your Xbox? You should check the Newbie forums, first.

Ok , and IGR problem eh? Well the thing is is that I use MXM to launch and EvoX to flash.

I'm a little fuzzy about MXM to be honest, but I'd imagine it should be fully compatible. I use Unleashx, myself.
Did you get the emu from xbins? If not, give that a shot. I originally got it from a different place, and it didn't work for me.... but that was the first day it was out.
Also, when it doesn't load, does it just leave a black screen, or something else?

Yea I got it from xbins, but when I push the button to launch it it just sits there on the MXM loading screen. So I have never been able to launch that thing at all.

My specs are in my sig, I can run surreal just fine. Flash your chip with 4981.06, delete the surreal folder on your xbox HD AND delete the folder where it stores things(saved games, surreal.ini etc) on the E: partition (chech the pinned help thread for the location, its in the first post). RE-DOWNLOAD surreal, unrar it to its own folder on your desktop. Inside the "surreal" folder create a new folder titled "roms", then open the "surreal.ini" and have the rompath set to "Rom Path=D:\Roms\". Then FTP it back over to your xbox and see if it works.

By the sounds of it you already know how to do all this, I just wrote it all out for simplicities sake, just to cover our bases. Your setup sounds similar to mine, and if it works on mine it stands to reason that it should work on yours. Good luck.

EDIT----
On a side note, do you create your own menu.xml's or do you let mxm auto menu take care of things? Personally I make my own menu.xml, and if you do too maybe you set the path to the default.xbe wrong, could have a spelling error or something, Id check this first then do the above.

Well I use both my own menu.xml for all the standard apps, and emus, but since I just installed surreal I let the auto menu do it. but to be safe I launched it from boxplorer, and no go. I will try like you said hopefully it will work then. Also thank you for taking the time to type that out. Most people aren't that helpful.
