I have exactly the same problem!
the specs of my xbox is:
Xenon (launch 2005)
- Launch model
- Red Ring of Death / heat issues
- 203 Watt powersupply / 12V rated 16.5A

2006-10-20 is the production date! RROD fixed today tongue.gif

t is also a TOSHIBA-SAMSUNG according to this:

can I just remove, or cut the wires of the chip and just flash?

not priority**  btw, the nme site is all gone, is there anyway I can get a tutorial for how to install/remove the chip.

Should be able to carefully remove all the wires and toss the chip in the bin and then go about flashing the drive using Jungle Flasher. read the Jungle Flasher tutorial for help.
