Cygnos360 V2 Problems
« on: June 10, 2010, 10:41:00 PM »

Ok I am having problems with my Cygnos v2 Dual Nand Rev D.... I installed it following the directions and left out the jtag points and I plugged it in to my PC and updated the bootloader to 1.0.3 firmware so i didn't need to use resistors. Then I installed the jtag points. I got various error codes related to some quicksolder points that weren't connected all the way. I fixed those and now when I try to read the Xbox360 flash the toolbox stops responding and the southbridge on the 360 gets warm and eventually the mod chip turns off (when i flip the switch the light no longer turns on). when i unplug the xbox it gives this toolbox error "An unhandled exception occurred in file "..\src\Cygnos360.cpp" at line 694.". When the xbox cools down the modchip works as normal but I cannot get it to read the flash. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
bif

EDIT: I just reinstalled all of the wires except the jtag wires and its still not working... but this time its giving Unknown NAND-flash device id 0x8000 reported... If I don't get a response in like 10-15 mins then I am going to take the modchip off and wire the quick solder points...
