With the latest 1.03 firmware for the Cygnos360 V2 you do not use any resistors.  Also, it's my understanding that the Cygnos360 uses different wiring than the standard seen here so make sure to follow the instructions on the Cygnos website.  I purchased a Cygnos360 V2 a while back, but never got around to installing it...it was so much easier to follow the guides found here and it didn't require a master solder technician to install.

The dude I'm buying this 360 from said he's gonna flash the original kernel 2.0.6683.0 on it and remove the jtag so when I receive the cygnos360 chip I can fit it straight away.

BTW his ebay id is xbox_360_jtag here in the UK so anyone needs he services he'd be happy to help.

Is the box you are buying already XBR3 or FreeBoot?  If so, why is he removing it if your plan is to install XBR3 or FreeBoot with the Cygnos360 V2?  Is there a reason you want to use a Cygnos360 V2?

Sorry for the questions, I'm just curious.  The Cygnos360 is a cool piece of hardware, but I just don't see the need for it anymore.  You can't update the Xbox360 NAND to stay on live, updates, etc..., so why run the stock dash and XBR3 or XBR3 and FreeBoot on the same box?

Thanks

Maybe cause he likes to?  SOme people like techy things. Maybe he likes to tinker with setting up flashing ROMs with an embedded device like the cygnos 360 v2.  Maybe he wants XBR3 and freeboot. Who knows. that way he can have both.

@OP
Yes you can remove the resistors and then the cygnos v2 will boot into the hacked NAND using the Jtag points it internally signals via GPU port. It's all in the cygnos 1.03 firmware. It does the jtag injection. So, you do not need the 3 resistors....or 2 resistors and a loop wire.
