Just check the original firmware you extracted to see which version it was, or you could just open the drive and see if there is a chip, but i beleive that the mod chips boot wave 3 discs without updating, so most likely there is no chip.

iv opened up my xbox and i dont think there is a modchip but am not sure, wt do they look like? r they obvious to look at?
