How To Burn A Xbox 360 Game On A Nme 2.0 Succesfully?
« on: May 07, 2009, 04:03:00 AM »

Calm down, man.  I'll try and help you by taking you step by step the way I do it, because you may have missed an important step somewhere.  BTW, all the programs I will mention can be found on the NME website.

Take your original game and extract to your PC using either Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom Xtract.

Convert the .ISO file using NMEaSSociator program (must have .net framework 2.0 on your computer).

Once finished, open IMG Burn, go to Tools>Settings>Write>Options-Layer Break- Select User specified and type in 1913760

Now, in the bottom right hand corner, there is a button that says change book type, in the main screen of IMG Burn.  If you aren't using a Pioneer 111D burner, which is automatically sets the book type, you can find your burner and set it accordingly.

Now, when you go to burn, you must select the .DVD file, and burn at the slowest speed possible.

Actually, use just Xbox Backup Creator when it comes to extracting.

OH YEAH I TRIED BURNING IT WITH IMGBURN BUT IT SEEMS THAT I CANT CHANGE THE BOOK TYPE ON MY DRIVE. BUT SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENED WHEN I HAD BURNED IT WITH CLONECD THE GAME HALO 3 ACTUALLY WORKED (PARTIAL THOUGH!). BUT NOW I AM WONDERING WHY IS IT THAT IT SHOWS BOOK TYPE DVD-ROM ON NERO SPEED AND IT WORKED. OR IS IT JUST THAT I ACTUALLY NEED VERBATIM DUAL LAYERS.

I AM THINKING THAT IF I KNEW HOW TO BURN IT ON NERO BURNING ROM IT WOULD WORK.

WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW TO MAKE SURE IT IS BURNED AS A BOOK TYPE ON DVD R+DL?

if im not mistaken... you dont need to mess with booktypes anymore... i use nme 2.0 and i dont use that pioneer burner and i have NEVER once messed with book-type... all my backups work GREAT

when you rip with xbc, you should get the dvd file and that will include the layer break... sooooo.... rip with xbc, use nme associator... open imgburn (i dont touch any settings) and burn... when u burn the image, make sure you select the dvd file and not the iso... also, verify the burn so that you know that its good... ive used office depot dl's before and while most of the media is good and works perfectly... every once in a while i get a burn that wont verify... anyways... good luck
