Nme Firmware Upgrade
« on: March 30, 2009, 09:03:00 PM »

I recently purchased a 2.0 chip and it will be arriving soon.  My concern is that although I may be able to rip  games, I may not be able to play them (such a Guitar Hero Metallica) because the firmware that is changed on the fly won't allow it.  Since NME does not operate on iXtreme 1.5.1, I was wondering if the chip will still work for the newest games?  If it does not, is there a way to update the firmware on the chip in the future because I cant see anything on the site about updating? Thanks.

i read in a couple of differnet places that it does matter... ppl burned their backups and they wouldnt boot <shrugs>... i simply reinjected the wave2 files (dmi pfi and video) into the wave3 game and burned that... it worked... granted, these wont work on live but i dont use my backups on live anyways... thats asking for trouble imo
