Mod-chip Querie?
« on: February 16, 2009, 02:49:00 PM »

hello. First off sorry if this has already been covered and i am ignorant to the facts. Also sorry if this is post breaks any of the rules (i am literally 1 day new to this site and are a little hazy on the guidelines still).
I have been looking at mod-chipping my 360 elite. I am living in the philippines and they are pretty big on it here. However the stores i have approached say that i cannot have my 360 mod-chipped after it has been used as i may not be able to play any of the games from my library and will probably get the 3 red lights of death if i do. They say u must chip your 360 while still brand new. Is this true??
It just does not sound right to me but i will admit i know pretty much nothing about the technical side of consoles/computers.
Any info and or assistance would be greatly appreciated and again i am sorry if this is breaking the rules. I would hate to be banned as i  only just found this site yesterday and have already discovered a wealth of information.
Thank you all for your time and patience.
Regards.

to start there is no "real" modchip for the 360 yet. There are some but without a full extensive knowledge on programing and all that it is pointless.  Basicly if your thinking there is a chip out ther elike the Xbox 1 modchips for the 360 then no, there ar eno yet.

The only way to mod your 360 at this time is to do a dvd drive firmware flash.
