Best Modchip For 360?
« on: November 08, 2008, 03:09:00 AM »

Hello everyone,

I was wanting to know what would be the best modchip for my brand new xbox 360?  I do not know alot about this stuff and I am wanting to copy my games onto my xbox harddrive.  Also, I have a 20GB harddrive to the xbox 360.  My plans are to open the 20GB harddrive up and replace it with a 300GB harddrive.  Will it work???  If so, what type of harddrive will I need?  Any certain type of brand?  What specfic specs does the harddrive need?

all modchips are garbage. and playing games off HD works ONLY with the NXE dashboard released on the 19th of november, and you still need the game disk in the drive for that.

well what do you recommend???  I assume that I have to burn the games onto a DVD now..  So getting a 120GB hard drvie sounds useless if I can not back up games onto the harddrive.

Instead of modchips, what should I use since modchips are useless?  this is so much more difficult than the older xbox

flashing the drive, considering that is the only other option.

and you CAN install games to HDD with NXE, which will be much quieter than running off the disk and saves a lot of stress to the drive and laser.
you just need the original disk to install and briefly to run it.

if  your computer can boot from a usb stick, you can install a bootable dos onto one and boot from that.
i think there is a program called iprep that does that for you. the textbook pdf tells you how to do it

Why did you even bother replying in this thread.

Is it just to increase your post count and exercise your inflated ego?

Your comments have been pointless for the most part.

Why don't you open your mind and show a bit more courtesy to other members of this forum?
