Infectus 2 Problem
« on: September 25, 2008, 05:20:00 PM »

Allright, I tried to install a infectus 2 chip to programm nand.

I installed it but everytime when I trie to bootup the xbox he doesn't work, when I desolder the 5v, the xbox boot fine. I tried to install the chip at the bottom of the MB.

On the pictures you see another 5v source, because I thought that the source was broken.

I have some pics. Please...

Try shortening the wires, some of these are way longer than needed.
Also, it looks like D3 is missing, it's not connected on the MB side.

I can't get the chip working. The xbox can be turned on and off but the chip doesn't be recognized in windows. And the enabled led on the programmer doesnt turn on.

I will try to solder the chip on the hynixchip pens. Does anyone know or this is a hard job for me, i have normal experience.

(Sorry for my bad english sad.gif)

don't solder the chip directly to the nand. if it isn't detected in windows, then something else is wrong. make sure it's getting power, and that the powersupply of the console is plugged in, but the system turned off, when you connect the chip to USB.

I tried it as you say Arakon. I think the chip doesn't have power from the board. How do I test the chip without soldering it on the board.

And the solder points on the back of the board are a little bit stuck, does it matter?

The xbox normal when I desolder the chip...

if the chip is not installed, just plug it into the USB port. it should get recognized and be flashable.

As you can see on the picture, the connection gives bank0 red and bank1 is green. And the chip is not recognized in vista...

the LEDs have no meaning. did you plug in the cable the right way around? does the chip on the infectus get hot?

the flat cable. check if it's inserted the right way around (contacts facing down, blue side up).

no. the chip should be detected in ANY usb-capable OS at all.
if nothing else it should show as an unknown USB device, and the PC should recognize that a device was attached. seems your chip is dead. check the ribbon cable for damaged pins, though.

Hi I have the latest infectus 2 programmer, ie. the argon chip and injectus programmer with usb. I need a tutorial of how to wire the chip to the xbox 360 mother board as I need to extract the dvd key and change the region code.

Any helpful links?

Thanks
