Nme2 Install Help
« on: May 23, 2008, 09:16:00 PM »

Can someone please point me to a good guide for NME-360 v2.0. I've searched for hours and have come up with the PDF for the old version. The nme2 website does not have clear instructions.

Really appreciate your help.

I used these pictures,

http://www.pbase.com...121/new_gallery

along with the diagrams on the NME website to install the chip into my system, which was only a few days ago and I havnt't tested out a burnt game yet but will let you no when I have, but the install is actually simple to understand but difficult in the actuall physical part of installation.

Thanks for the Gallery. I'll try it out.
I've opened up the case half way. Will run out to Sears to get the Torx 10 Screw driver.

I'm interested to find out the network disconnect while playing backups.

I dont see the point of the network disconnect, Im planning on just easily pulling out the ethernet wire from the back of my system when playing a back-up, easy as that.

I would definitely not take the risk of not connecting the network off feature.

I have one question. As per instructions you have to remove the front LED plate. What size of torx screw driver do you need. I just got one from sears.

The proper size to remove the front little control board is a T8.
The T10 is a bit big and might strip the heads of the screw a bit.

I bought an 82 piece precision screwdriver and bit set at Canadian Tire for $20 and it has them all.

I also did not connect any of the USB / Network off points.

Its a T8. I got the T8 and T9 from Sears, but landed up using the T8.

One weird observation is that if I tighten the screw too much, the wireless controllers don't work.
