What Is This?
« on: May 08, 2008, 01:50:00 PM »

Hi,
Im a total noob to this, didn't know where to post if I posted in the wrong forum sorry but I really don't know what to do.

I'd just like to know what I have to do to my Xbox to play backups
I've looked at the tutorials and asked people and they all say different things, like this is a BenQ drive,Toshiba, etc and that I only need a firmware not a chip some say I need a chip, really confused now.

This is my Xbox:

could someone please tell me what drive i have and what do i need a firmware or a chip

thanks so much.

I would use a chip if I were you, since you don't want to get even more confused with the flashing process. You have the BenQ drive, so you need to purchase the NME V2.0 chip, which can be bought
HERE   Whenever you go to that site, look at the sidebar on the left for "Xbox 360", then to "Devices", then to "NME-360 V2.0".

The official website for that chip is www.nme2.com
You will need to go there once you have your chip for installation instructions.

Sorry, I forgot about the lite on drives!  Im assuming the NMEv2 will soon be compatible with it though, as it is an upgradeable chip.
