Nme 2.0 Hitachi! Some Working, Some Not! Help!
« on: March 30, 2008, 02:50:00 PM »

Hello.
have a NME v2.0 Chip installed inmy hitachi xbox 360. Now I have a pioneer 108. I have success burning games (such as bully, NBA Live 08, Madden 08, etc) Now when I tried to back up Devil May Cry 4 and Bioshock. Those two for some reason didn't ork but my other backups work. I used this method for burning games.

1. XBC Creator - Copy Full Backup
2. Creates the image with DVD.
3. Then open Merger 1.7b
4. Go to iso splitter, take the SS.bin from the ISO (save it a ssbin)
5. Close that, then open the ISO then SS, make sure they match in the red parts of the right corner, when they do, click the merge button.
6. Open up NME Associator, open the iso and ss bin, then go to convert tab and click convert.

And my backups have worked and some haven't. Can someone please let me know if anyone has had these issues as well? and help?

Your process seems fine.

However, you may want to use SS merger to insert the ss.bin rather than using NME Associator as this creates the correct .dvd file for the layer break. However, I have no experience with NME Associator (it may do so too).

Seeing as you are using SS Merger to extract the ss.bin, it is then a simple matter to re-insert using the road sign. Just load the image & ss.bin using the 'ISO file' & 'SS file' dialogs.

Although I have not had an issue with backing up my games. I don't own BioShock, but I have backed up Devil May Cry 4.

STOP USING NME ASSOCIATOR !!!!

If you image is 7.29gb and you use NME assocaitor is screws the image, there is no need at all to ever use it if your using SS merger!!!!

Heya guys,

...

What the hell is going on here?! lol. Help appreciated by the way guys. Thanks for the advice.

Hey Gophie, what discs are you using?

I strongly suggest you use Verbatim discs and burn at 2.4x. Even is your discs say they can handle 6x or 8x, or if your burner says your 2.4x discs can be burnt faster - use 2.4x or lower.

Disc quality and burn speed make all the difference for XBox backups.

the problem is the pioneer drive, hitachi drives hate them, some games work some don't, I have the same issue with my 110D,111D, and  112D

I am using a Lite-On LH-20A1P and ever games works perfect on all three X360 drives with NME, NME 1.0, NME LE, NME 1.2 and NME2.

You are Double patching your games

The problem you have is because you are using the SS merger 1.7b. You dont need to do this step. XBC creator does all the ss files you need for the stealth image. Just make the image and just use NME asso. Patch the image once( never double patch because you will screw the image) then just burn it. However you like. I like the img burn way works perfect for all my games I burn them at 8x

not sure on the drive, the only lite-on drives that do not work properly for me is the SATA version.

NME requires it own SS.bin to be placed in a differnt location that is why you MUST use ss merger 1.7b for NME games!  All NME games are also Xtreme ready
