Psx To .bin
« on: February 08, 2004, 03:53:00 AM »

I'm ripping Alien Trilogy. It has 1 DATA file, and 25 AUDIO files. Is there a certain way to rip PSX games when they have 1 or more audio files?? I tried playing this game awhile ago on my xbox and I remember I got this loud piercing sound where the music should be?? Any ideas? Thank you for your replies!

sorry guys for the accidental double post. I don't know how to delete an unwanted post  ;)

Hmm...not sure with .bin, but with .iso, the audio tracks should be ripped to mp3s and watch the naming of them.  <

well, the problem i was having is pathatic on my part. I did not include the Cuesheet file for the game, infact for all my games. Once I included the Cuesheet for Alien Trilogy, the music files started playing. *sigh*

And the mp3 files you guys were mentioning, I believe that's for Sega CD and PCE. The whole thing about naming them correctly and all.

And to rip psx games, here's a quick tutorial. Use CDRWIN, find the latest version of it. load the disc, leave everything default, when you go to save the file before it rips, make sure that when you name the file, you put " .bin " at the end of it "example"

gamename.bin

then click Save.

it will begin ripping, and it will create 2 files, the .bin file (which you named), and a .cue file which is the cuesheet. Once that's completed, upload the 2 files to your xbox.  :D
