Hello, I tried searching the forums and could not find anyone else with this problem.  I just installed an NME-360 v2.0 on a Xbox 360 Elite with Falcon board with a BenQ drive and I connected the Y point from the NME chip to the R1A2 point on the mainboard but the network is not being disabled when I play a backed up game. It still allows me to access my network to play music and such while playing the game.

The picture is a little different on the Team underdog site because they are showing an older mainboard. http://www.nme2.com/nme_inst_benq.html

I really apprecriate any help with this as I don't want to get banned again.  I already sold my banned unit to a friend to by the Elite and don't want to get banned from XBOX live again.  Normally I would have just dealt with it but I really wanted the MPEG4 playback update.

For the time being I am just disconnecting the network cable.

I posted the same thing at the same time. Have you tried to play a back up and see if it gets disabled. Thats the only thing I can think of is that when the backup launches is when it cut the network but I am to scared to try that....

As mentioned in other areas, I too have experienced this with the HDMI XBox 360, BenQ drive & NME2.

I only connected the network off as I too did not plan to use wireless and would still like to connect my external HD.

An email to NME2 about 3 weeks ago is still unanswered.

Maybe a Bios update for the NME2 will be around the corner. I hope so. It is a pain to remove the LAN cable when playing backups.

I have sent another email (2 days ago - 2nd email in 30 days) to the NME2 team and am waiting  sad.gif  on a reply that may never come.

I hope that a bios upgrade will be available in time and I'm sure the NME2 are aware of the situation. I suppose we can just wait and see. Until then we have to disconnect the LAN or USE wireless when you wish to play your backups on line.

By the way, my son has decided to risk it and has now started playing backups online. He intends to continue until a new dashboard update rears its head. It will be interesting to see is he gets banned and I will keep the forums up to date on any issues.

look through all there diagrams!!  they put the wrong Network shut off point, the Samsung diagram has the proper network shut off point for all consoles, the hitachi and Benq are showing the WRONG netowrk shut off point.

use this point for both the large and small network chip, I know the small one has a resistor there, so what the point os still the same

DO NOT USE THIS POINT !!! IT DOES NOT WORK

I have emailed NME guys several times to correct it, no response, I have emailed them several times to tell them the hitachi 0078 and 0079 gnd point is wrong and I sent them the correct diagrams, no repsonse, no corrections to there site..

Is it just me or does it look like the resister is removed from the R1B12 solder point? Should the resister be taken off the board for network disable to work? And if NME isn't going to give us shit for instructions at least they could use a camerea that has more than a 2 meg resolution.

If you have a benq drive, you don't really need to connect the network off feature, just boot your original without holding down the power button and the NME chip should not be booted.

The point is that many people want the network to automatically disconnect when the modchip is on. This is the purpose of the network off feature. They are not so much concerned the chip will be detected when it is not activated.

Hi,
I hoped this would be my solution but when I change the point the xbox gives me a boot error (E75 I think) with the Y point connected as per the samsung instructions..... Any ideas why?? My soldering is very good and the chip works great with this point disconnected
