Which Modchip...
« on: November 29, 2007, 06:01:00 AM »

I have just got my 360 and have been looking at installing a chip rather than flashing firmware is i still want to use live to play original games.

I have done a fair amount of post-searching and learnt a lot, but i still have some unanswered questions

These are the main chips I've seen available;

Xeno 360 lite         - £9.99
MOD 360 Mod Chip - £14.99
GLOBE 360           - £29.99
NME V1.2              -
NME V2.0              - £39.99

from everything i have read the nme v2.0 is the best although it is also four times the price of the others.
initially i was going to buy the mod360 but i have read some bad reviews.. limited backup compatability.. bad quality etc. so i pretty much ruled this one out.
The globe 360 looks good, although the nme 1.2 better, and as the xeno is supposedly a clone it is a cheaper option. finally there is the nme v2.0 which looks the best chip overall, only problem being the see what the price. And i cant really see what the nme v2.0 can do over the xeno.

really I want a chip that will auto-turn off and play backups on a samsung drive.
as far as i can tell there isn't much between any of the chips.. so im tempted to go for the cheapest.

thanks in advance!
