Is Anyone Out There Not Banned Using Nme 1.2 With Originals?
« on: August 20, 2007, 05:41:00 PM »

I would like to know if anyone is using Originals for Live play with an NME 1.2 and NOT banned.

Ex:

1. Play backups with NME 1.2 offline
2. Go onto Live with Original only

I don't want to hear "you will eventually get banned", or "essentially everyone is banned" etc. but more about folks who are avoiding being banned using the prescribed method.

Well I use the Xeno-360 (its an NME clone tho-means there the same basically), and I haven't been banned.  I dont play on Live every single day though, but I only play backups offline, and have the chip off when I go online with originals (via external on/off switch).  I would like to note tho that I haven't been online in a while so I may be banned next time I sign in (or soon thereafter).

Oh, and guess what?  You will eventually get banned.  tongue.gif

I've been using my NME 1.2 for over six months now.....I only play backups offline, and when I do this to be extra safe I disconnect the network cable.............

When I want to play an original online I simply pop it in and Plug the network cable back in

I have had no problems......and Have not been banned...........

It's my belief that the people that are getting banned are either playing backups online all the time and not worrying about it, or they cant resist going online at some point with a backup..........
that's the thing.......U CANNOT go online with a backup.........not even for just a miniute....They may say they havent gone online with a backup at all, but I simply dont believe them..........im sure it doesnt take long for MS to see what they need to see to ban you.......and keep the cable unplugged..........you Will be fine  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

^^Agree on the backup offline/online part.  I just dont think many people here are honest about that and that is why they get banned.

when you play on live, do you turn off the mod chip (if thats possible)? or is your firmware still hacked when you play online with your original? thx

thats why i use the Xeno-360, it has a small feature that in my opinion makes it better than the nme: you can choose whether or not the chip is on or off, whereas the nme v1.2 is always on, and only "falls asleep" when you insert an original.  so for me, i just dont even turn on my xeno when i go online.
