Nme 1.2 Solder Problems

Do what he said above.  Just solder a small wire from the left over bit of trace where that gaping hole is that you burned to the end of the capacitor.  I would recommend replacing the capacitor (either buy one or carefully remove from an old board).  See, problem is, the inside of a capacitor is usually a layer of metal, paper, then metal.  From the looks of it, you could have easily burned it up.

Thx Sir,

At least i have my xbox 360 back.
But i am only able play my demos in harddrive now.(also other dashboard functions are well)

I have soldered 4 wires within Samsung and also 1 for eject button.(this is Xeno-360)

When press on eject (for 5 seconds), it is just starting the console in the beginning and really opening the tray just after 2-3 seconds. Even for my original game it is giving a kind of "Put this disk in an Xbox 360 console".

What should be the problem do you have any idea?

But again already thanks a lot for the first support!

Thx Sir,

At least i have my xbox 360 back.
But i am only able play my demos in harddrive now when the chip is activated.(also other dashboard functions are well)

I have soldered 4 wires on Samsung MS28 board and also 1 for eject button.(this is Xeno-360 but actually in their diagram there are 7 points to solder but i followed the guideline in this website)

When I press on eject it is immediately starting the console and when keep pushing it is just opening the tray. And after all, it is just giving a kind of "To play this disk put it in an Xbox 360 console" for both back-up and original games. (i didn't try my bakc-ups in another console so far so i'm not sure if the media is problematic - it is EMTEC DVD+R DL media code:RICOHJPN-D01-67)

But when i open it with normal power button everything is just perfect (w/o modchip) all the demos in harddrive and original DVDs are running perfectly but of course not back-ups.

I think install should be correct as it is working perfectly when i open it with power button. Am i wrong? is there something i am missing?
And final question, is there any application i can download and write on a media just to test my install as Wii has a kind of application as far as i know:

Sorry it became already long but i would like to get sure if my install is correct. Actually i would appreciate if you can give me a link which is explaining testing methods of the install with some pictures or diagrams.(not install diagram itself)

But again already thanks a lot for the first support!

Try an alternate ground point. (IMG:http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/1648/nmejpgqk5.jpg)

I have tried this alternative GND point but the result is same. When chip is not activated it is working perfectly but when it is activated (i understand it from the original games as they are not working -giving put this disk in an xbox-) back-ups are giving same message 'put this disk ....'

I have checked all my back-ups image sizes and they all 7.705.657.344 bytes. My DVD writer is LG GSA-4163 FW 1.06-latest one- and the media is RICOHJPN-D01-67(EMTEC branded but i hade to use mediacodeedit and dvd_identifier in order to burn this media because even latest firmware was not including this media code) and IMGBurn has successfully burned the media at the end. Actually i know it is different topic (i mean the media) but firstly i am trying to get sure if it is not hardware issue anymore.

I thought it should give 'unplayable disk' or should not see the disk in the tray if the media was wrong. Don't you think same? Can it still give this 'put this disk...' message even with bad media?

I have already ordered Verbatim's but they will arrive at weekend i will let you know the result.

In case needed, this is the information shown by ImgBurn for burned disk.
Current Profile:DVD+R DL but booktype DVD-ROM. Does it make sense for Xeno-360 full chip (Actel labeled square shaped one).
And if i have to change the booktype to DVD+R DL how can i do? because actually i had selected Normal in booktype section for my burner but it seems it is still DVD-ROM.

Hmm...I really dont know what to say at this point.  Are you absolutely sure the install was done correctly and properly?  Maybe try not using any extra points (only the required ones) and insulating them too with either tape or glue (to prevent shorts).  Check every point for continuity (with a multimeter).

yey! got mine fixed. i did it by replacing the 0ohm and 22Kohm resistors then soldering from the bottom of the capacitor to pin 3 of the SST chip. All works perfectly now. though i had to buy 5000 resistors to get the 2 i need (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) thanks for all the help.

I have done it, thanks! It was due to media. I received my Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4Xs and works perfectly.
For the others: don't waste your money with cheap medias.
