Stuck In New Mexico
« on: June 12, 2007, 11:44:00 AM »

I have a NME-360 and cant get it to work.

I have a Hitachi 78fk.
I tweaked the pot from 3.31k to 2.7k.
Im using a Samsung SH-D163A flashed with Kreon 0.80 FW.
Im using a Pioneer 710 non flashed to burn.
Im following the Team underdog procedure for ripping.

I can play original games just fine.
But every time I insert a backup I the Grey screen that says "to play this disc insert it into a Xbox 360".

This is my first Xbox hack and I don't know anyone to test my games and system with.

Anyone with ideas?

Even better anyone near Albuquerque NM that can help? I'll bring the beer.

Thanks
Ron

1) you should'nt need to do the pot tweak.
2) you should update to .81 fw on your kreon drive
3) you rip with schrtom3.2 (the stealth xtreme v3 option) -> convert ISO/000 to NME with NME Associator -> burn with Imgburn (the .dvd file)

should be all there is.

I've had 0 problems with Memorex DL media burnt at 2.4x

Thank you ydgmms.

Ill try tweaking the pot back to 3.31k.

Also Im using Verbatim disks. And Ive tried removing the 470 coil and tried putting in on the input power with no change.

Where can I get the .81fw? The only one I can find is the .80.

Thanks

ok tweaked the laser  back to 3.31k and no change.

I can still play originals but still get insert errors on backups.

Cant find 0.81 fw. All I can find is 0.80 and thats on underdog website.

Only FW on xbins for the SH-D163A is the .80. They only have .81 for the D163C.

Still cant get any to work.

Problem is I don't know if its the chip or the burns. I read a lot of people are having issues with the NME.

I've tried all the different ways to install the 470 coil.

I was hoping to find someone in New Mexico to test my copies and/or the Xbox.

Thinking of getting a Xeno-360 and trying a different chip.

Well I went and bought a Xeno360.

Still no good.

Anyone near New Mexico that has a hacked Xbox?

Is it possible to mail backups of a game that I own? I would love to get a WORKING disk for one of my games.

I am in Rio Rancho and have lately been just fixing XB360 and not modding them, yet.

Also, I don't have any XB360's with any Hitachi Drives (all of them so far have been Sammy's). But, I can double check your work, try to make some backup's of my game dvd's and see of they will work.

I would suspect that the problem here lies in how you are creating your backups IF you have the chip installed correctly.

You can PM me here and we can set something up.
