Mod Chip Installation - Complete Guide
« on: June 09, 2007, 10:43:00 AM »

First, let me say that: All of your mod chip questions are answered in the Pinned:: Faq, Tutorials, Links & Important Threads

I'm making this post simply to add some content to the search capabilities of the site.

I searched and searched these forums, when installing my Xeno-360, for where to connect the activity LED but couldn't find any information. I finally found a clue by going to the NME site and looking at old installation instructions*. In that page, the caption under the the activity LED mentions that this point is on the back of the XBox power LED board.

Now, the reason for this post, as I mentioned, is to add some searchable content for people with the same kind of issues.

Once again: All of your mod chip questions are answered in the Pinned:: Faq, Tutorials, Links & Important Threads

All versions of Hitachi, Samsung drives, all versions of NME-360 mod chips, Xeno-360 mod chips...everything is answered beautifully in the Pinned:: Faq, Tutorials, Links & Important Threads.

One of the first things I did was to download this tutorial (before the chip was shipped), but I completely forgot about it when I was doing my install and the first thing I did when having trouble locating the activity LED solder point was to search these forums to find the answer. As the tutorial is not indexed in the search, I couldn't find the answer. Now, hopefully, this post will come up in someone else's search results and they will immediately be directed to the best source of information for mod chip installation: Pinned:: Faq, Tutorials, Links & Important Threads. biggrin.gif

Thank you to the fantastic moderadors and admins of Xbox-scene and all the people who write these great tutorials and posts to help out the community!

* I tried to find it again to post a link, but CAN'T FIND IT. This just shows how difficult it is to sift through all of the information for different versions, etc.
