Schtrom 3.2 And Stealth Patch
« on: May 21, 2007, 06:31:00 PM »

Quick question ....prob a stupid one....Ive done some reading here and everyone says that your games should be stealth patched for extra security due to the recent banning........I make my backups using Schtrom 3.2 using the option Whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0).........I assume this automatically makes the iso that is then ripped stealth patched???? After that I convert that image with NME associator....is it still stealth patched????? Im just trying to be sure.....Im a little nervous ........... thanks in advance for your time for helping clear up this bit of confusion..........Riff

just follow the instructions on www.team-underdog.com and you'll be fine.

but to answer your question, just do the Whole Disc Stealth Extract, then convert the .iso (or .000) file with nme associator, then burn using image burn (you will burn the .dvd file tho, weird i know but thats how you do it)

make sure you put the right settings in your imageburn (or whatever burning program you use) like shown on www.team-underdog.com

I, personally, don't believe they're stealth. There is something different in the ISOs. The SS location is a big one. According to various Team X's, its 'nearly undetectable.' But if that was the case, those of us who make our own backups (Stealth Xtreme -> NME -> Burn) wouldn't have been banned - according to the Stealth vs NonStealth backup arguments.

I highly doubt that everyone made their own backups.  But that's just speculation.  Take this piece of information however you like:

I made majority of my backups stealth, used the NME Associator, so they were Xtreme, Stealth, and NME Patched.  When I put one of those discs in for a stealth check using the latest tools - it shows that they are 100% stealth.  But that only means it's finding what it's looking for.  If the NME Associator relocates the SS to a new location - MS could easily find this on your disc. (I am assuming).

So many of my backups are probably going to bite me in butt again in the future.

However - I revert back to my previous statement that I doubt everyone made their own backups.

For what it's worth
