Do you have a golden backup that is working on NME type chips

Installed Xeno in several XBOX-360 and never had problem
Don't go too low with the laser pot.

I'm also in Montreal if you need help

I'm having the exact same issue. Here's what I've done:
  • Xeno-360 installed on Hitachi 0079fk drive
  • Potentiometer left at original setting, also lowered to 3.12 kOhms (and other levels)
  • 100% sure of soldering install
  • Using Verbatim MKM 001 media
  • Burning at 1x speed
  • Orginal games boot fine (I thought they weren't supposed to as well)
  • Turning on XBox with Eject held in turns off the power LED and the mod chip LED ON (red)
  • Used NME Associator to convert an ISO (image.000 format)
  • CloneCD 5.3.0.1

I'm using an LG DVD writer (HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H50N) or I have a BenQ DW1620 that I haven't tried yet. Is the Pioneer the ONLY burner that works?

Can anyone confirm whether or not you CAN play original games with the Xeno chip ON?

Thanks for the help!

How are you making your backups?  Maybe you are not backing them up correctly.

Ok guys, read it here and remember, original games will NOT work with the Xeno chip ON.  Power the system on normally to play originals.  Power on holding eject for 5 seconds to play backups.

To the topic creator, could you please post up your exact burning method?  You may have forgotten an easy but important step.
Did you convert the .iso  using NMEaSSociator?
Did you use Schtrom 3.2 and do a whole disc stealth extract?
Did you remember to set the layer break as shown on www.team-underdog.com in your burning program?
Did you burn the backups at least at 2.4x?

one or more of the solder joints aint correct...Originals will not boot with the chip enabled if the chip is installed properly..that tells you its an install problem..what solder points did you use?

I found that for points 2&3 the alternate points to be better and the side of the power connecter for the ground

scratch that second part..didnt relise was a Hitachi drive  biggrin.gif

Yes, so to sum it up for the topic creator, you need to check all your solder points, make sure they match up correctly.
