If you follow the diagrams on the Team-Underdog website you shouldn't have any problems.
Make sure you know what DVD Drive you have in your Xbox 360.
If it is samsung, you will not need to install that extra resistor, just follow the diagrams and remember that before you do anything you must solder a small wire from point B on the chip to the point labeled GND on the chip.
If it is hitachi, you will need to solder one side of that extra resistor to the 5v point on the chip, and the other side to the 5v point on the DVD board. Then just follow install diagrams as shown.
About that 470 coil though, after you install, once you have created a game backup, test to see if the game works. If it doesn't, then go ahead and remove the 470 coil, and bridge the gap with solder. Personally, I would just do this first anyway, because I had to do that for the last 3 that I installed. Also, when you remove the 470 coil, to switch between playing backups and original games you will have to power the Xbox 360 off then on. (like if you play an original, you will have to turn the system off then on again to be able to play a backup and vise-versa)
Some installation tips: for wire, use an IDE cable, just cut the wires you need from it. Use a 15 watt soldering iron, with rosin core solder.
