i have a japanease xbox 360. is there any mods out there to make it region free so i can play english (pal) games?? if not will there be soon??

The region of your console is set in your kernel on the NAND.  If you had your fuseset values, a program to decrypt and re-encrypt kernels, and a way to read and write the kernel to your NAND, you could, in theory, change the region of your console.  We can read and write to the NAND via various methods and can obtain fuseset values if you have an exploitable kernel but we cannot decrypt and encrypt kernels.  We know in theory how this is done and some people may have reverse engineered the encryption but nothing to make the process simple.  

So, that being said, done expect anything soon.
