How Much 360 Assembly Needed To Test Nme 1.2?

Well correct me if i am wrong but i am testing my 360 with its case off.

I just deassemble the DVD rom each time i want to open it. Of course i do have to reassemble my DVD drive to get to the chip set.

As for using a glue gun or electrical type, i would use a glue gun ... as you can see microsoft has already pretty much told you that glue will not effect the board in any which way by putting it all over the chipset that is found in your DVD rom ... as for electrical type, which can easily burn .. and may not be the fix for every thing.

You're a life saver...man I was getting bummed thinking I would need to put the whole 360 back each time, as you can make out, my soldering skills are not upto scratch tongue.gif

Just glad i could be of help.

By the way, how are you putting together your mod chip ? ...

I seem to be having troubles with mine .. ? They've included a resistor within the envelope the modchip came in but i see no where in the diagram to install such a part.

Have you removed the Coil from the mod chip ? ... Does it make a difference if you don't. Will the chip not work otherwise ? ..

Just some questions that im stumped on.

Farkin, go look in your topic that you created, as I have answered your questions. biggrin.gif

And also, you are correct about the Xbox 360 disassembly.  You can play the console in just the metal casing if you want (though placing it on carpet would cause static).  So yes, when you disassemble just make sure it is on something like a table or board before you power on.  The only thing you need plugged in is the AV cable, power (duh), and a controller for easy testing of games and such.

Also, to RaHulMID, I would have just bought the Xeno-360 because it is vastly easier to install on a Hitachi than the NME V1.2 is.  Im sure you know that little SST chip right?  Well the Xeno only has 3 wires that need to be soldered there!  Then just the regular ground and 5v (and the power eject) then your set! 6 wires, thats all.  

If your'e wondering, the Xeno 360 is an NME V1.2 clone.
