There Is A Problem With The Latest Batch Of Nme 1.2 Chips
« on: April 19, 2007, 07:29:00 AM »

Hello everyone I just wanted to let everyone know that I placed an order with a supplier and I have found out that there is a big problem with the latest batch of NME 1.2 chips they have recieved. I placed an order with them a few days ago and I checked today the status of my order and it was all the sudden cancelled......Upon talking to the supplier he said they they had problems with the last batch of chips and that the NME people have yet to take any of his phone calls.......Now he is stuck with hundreds of chips that he cannot sell....He has refunded my money and since taken them off of his site due to the fact that the batch is obviously bad and he is losing loads of money......For all of you having problems this may be the reason.....I dunno.....I ordered one a couple months ago and installed it with no problems....So I didnt have any reason to think that I would have any problem with ordering another. Now I'm stuck with not knowing what to do......I probably wont take the chance now of ordering one that may be bad.  The install is already a little tricky, and the thought of having another variable in the mix that may be bad is pretty frustrating......My chip works fine...but I was ordering one for a friend....Now I'm seriously considering just flashing his drive............Hope this helps someone out there............  Later.

Wait, so there is ANOTHER problem with this chip?!?!

We already know that the 470 coil on the chip was bad, but we have various fixes for that, such as just removing it and bridge gap with solder/wire.

Also, I dont think the LED feature is currently working either, because team underdog said something about the fact that it gives off power it is not resetting the chip correctly, so this feature wont work, and may also affect the auto-detect function as well.  No official word yet tho on if the Network Off feature works 100%.

So, is there another problem with this chip?  I thought we had seen the worst and corrected it ourselves, but if there is yet another problem....

Also, if you want to fix ALL of these problems, get a Xeno-360!  It is an NME clone!  The only difference is you have to hold eject to power the chip on.  But in my opinion I like it better because it has no problems with the LED off feature or network off feature, PLUS they are made with Actel chips which are high quality!

So you dont know if you installed it properly?  Maybe you have a good chip then, just check the diagrams on www.team-underdog.com   Its really very simple.

May I ask who is your mod supplier? (get all my stuff from www.foundmy.com)

Also, look for the Modchip Installation Guide here in the forums (should be pinned, its made by ydmms)
