hi,i have installed dosxbox v3 in my 60g hd.i have flashed onboard bios with the most recent evox bios.i have already surreal 64 and it works fine.when i launch dosxbox it show me a screen option where i can choose 2 tipe of button(a,or B).if i press a or b the results is the same:black screen!!!!it hangs!!please someone help me :(  thank you  <

yeah!!thank you very much.now it is started.but now i have another problem.i dont have a usb adapter and keyboard.how can i do to use my xbox controller as keyboard.please  :( give me an example because i m a newbye,but very interested to play my old pc games,like alone in dark3,legend of kyrandia3,monkey island,etc,etc.thank you very much again. :rolleyes:   <

AFAIK, there is no support for virtual Keyboards (unlike XPort's other Computer emulators), and there is no virtual mouse support either.

You absolutely need to have a USB keyboard and an optional mouse.

I agree that both would be very nice to have, but the majority of PC games would actually be quite hard to play without a proper keyboard.  <

but the xbox dont have a usb port!and if there is an adapter i think that it is for 1 usb,so ican use the keyboard but not the mouse!please tell me what i have to do  :( thank you  <

Get a keyborad with a usb hub built in, if you live in the UK scan.co.uk sell one for £7.99 + delivery. You can then plug the keyboard into the usb adapter (Which plugins into the controller ports , they're really just usb ports with funny adapters and an extra wire) and the mouse into the keyboard. Works fine for dosbox, scummvm, exult & linux.


I made my usb cable it's remarkably easy take 1 breakaway cable & 1 usb extension cable. Split them apart match like wire colour for like, ignore the extra wire. I twisted the metal cores of the wires together, green wire twisted to green, red to red, etc. Taped the connection togther still works fine now 6 months later.

hi,i have buy a usb keyboard.i have split the xbox controller cable ,so i have connected the four little cable(red,black,white, green,ignoring the yellow)with a usb female split cable.ihave connected the keyboards,but when i launch dosxboxv3 the keyboard dont work!!!!! i also tested with scummvmx and linux xbox,but the results is the same.when the xbox start the keyboard lights on the top right flashing for 2 second,then it stop.i ve tested the keyboards on my pc.when i connect it ,windows 98se recognized it and ask me for driver.if i install the keyboard drivers from windows98se the keyboards work perfectly.if i dont install the driver,the keyboard dont work.i have search from the site and dont seems to me that drivers for usb keyboards are needed for use keyboard in dosxbox v3.what i have to do?please someone help me  :(
