Network Accidentally Connecting With Nme?
« on: March 12, 2007, 11:06:00 PM »

I have the NME v1.2 installed and it has been relatively decent dispite a few glitches I noticed.  One being, when I am playing a backup, it will boot up fine, turn the LED off, disconnect the network.   I noticed that sometimes when I'm playing a backup, the LED would turn on, and connect to the network!!!  This has only happened a few times.  Has this happened to anyone?

I wish TeamUnderdog would swap out the bad chips for working less-glitchy chips.

The last time it happened it was in the loading phase of a game.   Can anyone confirm that their network off feature is working 100% of the time?  Should I be putting the network wire to a different spot, other than what is listed on the underdog website?

I've never done the network install...

But I say, if you want to be sure you dont connect...disconnect your network cable.

Mmm but as far as that. I know there was some problem with the network thing on the newest chips, and they were supposed to have new pictures up, but I dont know if thay have or not?

I say until then - disconnect your cable.

Has anyone had this problem??  As of right now I am just unplugging the network cable.  This is quite disconcerting considering the network off feature is one of the main reasons why I bought this chip.  Also, I got an error code (e46?) a couple times out of the 40 or so times I played the backups.  I reboot once or twice fixed it.  I have the current Hitachi drive, and as I read it, the "Removal of 470 coil, and bridge" only works for Samsung?  Should I just deal with it, or is there a way to fix it?  (as in soldering to a different network point (as mentioned on the underdog website)?   Thanks

Can someone explain what exactly this feature is anyway?  Does it allow for online play of backups, or does it just disconnect you from Xbox Live when a backup is inserted?  Seems like a pointless feature if it only disconnects you from Live (unless your too lazy to unplug your network cable  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )
