The drive is a Samsung ms28 and the console is made in Jan 2007.
As well before I the installation of the chip I updated with the fall update. (didn't knew what it was then)

If anyone got this problem as well or saw any posts about it maybe can help me...

you need either to reflash the chip, or simply mod your x360 using xtreme firmware.

thats your problem. That chip needs to have hacked firmware on there. Its not a firmware patch mod (like Xeno360 or NME) its a firmware replacement chip.(Dual boot I think?)

I have no idea how to flash that chip. I read the link it said the chip can be removed for easy flashing. So I guess you need a programmer of sorts.

Email All360 or the vendor you purchased from. Hope you get it sorted out. Good luck.

QUOTE
Play all of your favorite Xbox 360 Import and DVD-R Backup games as well as run Homebrew Applications with ease with the All360 Xbox 360 Mod chip.  Unlike 90% of the Xbox 360 modchips on the market today that have several versions for different Xbox 360 Drive types, The All 360 Xbox 360 Mod Chip is compatible with ALL DVD Drives currently on the market.  What does this mean for you?  It means that you can buy the Xbox 360 Mod Chip and rest assured that it will simply work in your console.  You can also forget about having to patch your games in any certain way, because the All 360 Mod Chip is plug and play, meaning that it does not require extracting the drive-key from the console because the ACTEL CPLD bypasses the Xbox 360 drive-key check, no lousy Firmware Hack Needed! It retains all original firmware and there's no need for any firmware-reading or flashing

The All 360 Mod Chip is a universal Xbox 360 DVD-Drive firmware upgrader. An upgraded firmware allows for better performance of your DVD drive while reading DVD-R DL support. It features DVD Drive-key "on-the-fly" patching, which automatically boots the "unsigned" firmware on-board!!

It seems we are victims of false advertising, I just ordered it thinking it would be all ready to play backups, it says no lousy firmware hack needed, etc.  WTF?
I got a new drive and thought this would be the easy way to mod it.
