Nme V1.2 Play Xbox 1 Backups?

Hi, I ordered the NME 1.2 chip a couple of weeks ago, i guess they're on backorder now. However, does installing this chip into my 360 allow me to play my old xbox 1 backups that were burned on to single layer discs? and does anyone know who has the NME chip in stock right now?
