well if you got the nme v1.2 you should be able to burn back ups with the pioneer 111d, not sure about the other, dont have it.  Mines being modded as we speak and the nme website says supports pioneer 111D burner so you should be all good.  Just use the nme associator convert it, use imgburn to burn it (dont forget the settings option) and verbatim dvd+r dl media, burn at 2.0-2.4x and you should have games.  other than that you should be set.

hey doest the nme v1.2 allow you to play pal region games? just curious, cant find any info on it.

So it doesn't matter if I burn my DL discs with the "DVD-ROM" or "DVD+R DL" bitsetting/book type?

I have a NME 1.2 and the SAMSUNG SH-D162C DVD drive. I flashed it and used verbatim+R DL.  I'm pertty sure I did everything right.  The 360 doesn't read the disk. All I get is the open tray option (not even a disc error). So I was wondering if I really need to buy the pioneer 111d?

Hi,

You say you managed to do it like underdog suggessted.. Could you please let me know how? Because using the first software that they suggest, I dont get my drive to show up !! I am trying with a Pioneer 109 and a Nec ND-6100A
Thanks

Are you refering to Schtrom, because It will not work on my laptop either, think it may be asapi based not spiti based. I dont know if Xbox Back up Creator will be of any use, but team underdog use to display that as the program to be used and I assume you are using a samsumg drive with the modified firmware.
