Argh!  Had the +5V wired according to the Samsung instructions and as I was soldering another wire, it popped off... I cant get it to stick back onto the point, maybe it pulled up the solder point with it... cant really tell.. Is there another place I can solder this +5v to? Damnit!!! Can someone please take a look at their samsung or some diagrams somewhere and tell me if they think that the +5v point that is on team underdogs site is connected to that resistor just to the right of it?  If so, I will try to connect a wire from the trace to the resistor and see if that fixes my problem.  The solder point where the +5v got pulled off. thanks in advance

The "B" solder point is cryptic in that there is nothing stating what it is and it doesn't enlarge.  It makes a person think it may be just for display purposes.  Actually though, the "B" solder point is necessary in that it places the chip into "Samsung" mode.  Without this connection the chip doesn't know if it is being utilized in a Hitachi or Samsung system.

I had the same thing happen.  If you have removed your epoxy from the chip you can use the leg on the top side, from memory I think it was the 4th pin from the right(near the torn trace).  You will also have to solder a wire from that same pin to the small surface mount resistor.

After doing that it should work as normal.

Warzzero, did You fixed the problem???
Just few minutes ago during  NME 360 V1.1 installation I have the same situation as You and I crashed +5V point
Now I'm wondering what is the best way to fix the problem, I'm not sure for 100% but +5V point should be connected:
1. to the first brown surface resistor from the right side of original +5V point
2. and to the top side of chip SST 39SF020A - to the 3rd leg counting from right (removing epoxy needed)

I will be appreciated if someone confirm that will works,

So....can YOU read? Anyway...even before that reply, the mentioned points were unconfirmed. Which now I can say they do work 100% as I soldered on to the third leg from the right with success.

The guy that did soldered it succesfully (floyd) gave the wrong informations, he mentioned the 4th leg from the right, which is wrong. So back off pall.
