That we love so much with HD 1080p and backwards comp but really guys this unit is pretty dam tough to crack not saying it wont be cracked but you have a lot of factors that come into play

When/if the 360 gets hacked, I'm sure people will develop ways to install hacks like these. People distributed original XBox dashboards and game hacks, so I don't see why dash updates and downloads couldn't be offered for hacked 360s, too.

Actually, that one is very possible. If I ever get injured and need a proscetic eye, I will be sure to have them install a laser in it just to prove a point (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

WOW what lengths to prove the infeasible is possible.

You have to remember, MS went to town on the security with the 360, Im pretty sure a lot of research is being done all the time. When you say real modchip, you mean a mobo mod right, or a mod that can enable homebrew. Whilst that would be really great, and yea I would love to see that too, you also have to admit, a lot of breakthroughs have been done. I reckon we may be thinking a lot differently a year or so from now.

Well if I can add something I'd like to say that we should all save at least 1 Xbox 360 now before the Xbox 360 v1.1 comes along and plummets the modding down the drain until it reaches the gloomy abyss of no return with updates and mobo changes and hardware upgrades....

It's almost like I should be saying: "lions, tigers, bears! Oh my!!!" lol

Also the Xbox wasnt fully modded when it came out or the year that followed.... only exploits were conceived at first and then came the production of a hardware modification and this is "similar" with the 360 as it was with the Xbox a few years back.... so just allow the modchip creators a chance to get it right before they just say "the hell with it" and just produce what they've got and we all end up with fried xbox 360's or some other error.... just give it time.

Im sure they modded the xbox 1 within a few weeks or maybe a month of its release.. I know they have had alot more time and money to play around with the 360 tho. I agree about the saving 1.0 xboxs also. There eather going to make modding impossible or screw up and make a flaw.

WRONG.

How to preform the eye laser hack:

Items Required:
1 sharp knife
1 laser pointer
lots of paper towel

Instructions:
Use the knife to 'pop' your eye out of the socket.
Then stab firmly into the open eye sockets and carve out a place for the laser pointer to sit.
Now cut a whole in the back of the eye and fit it over the laser pointer
Replace eye in socket.

ya.....me either? well not for 360 at least, + i dont have an xbox1 anymore, i cant even figure out how to update the firmware on my dvd drive, im way to much of a plug, so until a mod chip comes out (im in your boat dude) i guess im not gettin a modded console. I really really want a chip also... i want to see some research on it too, would be cool to read.

If somone could find the TSOP, and obtain the original BIOS from it, it's very possible for them to remove media flag checks, homebrew code(removing signature checks), and then developing some HDD hacks for mass storage in place of the original, and then make a modchip to mount over it in place to allow the Xbox360 to run the modded BIOS instead of the original, or am I missing something?

Microsoft should just give us the back door to the console. In the end it will just increase sales dramatically and they will win the fight to be the best console. Maybe not allow XBL with a modded box so people are out buying 2 xbox's? hmm

i would like a real modchip to but im not gona wine abought it. i dont agree with the firmwar hacking eyther it was a extramly cheap way to keep there promis of a mod in a year hell we coulda done this with a orignal xbox to. i have a 360 and no its not moded simply couse i dont agree with that mod at all. people posting hear saying they whont get 360 till a real modchip is made is sad couse it seems pretty clear they are not gonna buy games anyways. when/if a chip is made youcan always install it later and chances are couse you have a 360 befor ms starts bulding them not to work with said chip you will have a easy time installing it. look how easy it is to mod a orignal v1.0 xbox vs a 1.6.

and if it is another year befor a modchip is made my warrenty will be up and i whont have a problem opning it. for now i whontdare open my xbox 360 couse i dontwanna void the warrenty. a usb modchip would friggen own they did make one for the ps2 i think. perhaps where going abought modding the wrong way maybe insteed of tryingto bypass the securty maybewe can finda weakness in it maybe a swap type mod like ps2s.
