New To X360 Modding.

I've been modding the normal xbox for about 2 years now and I was wondering if the X360 is similar. Is there a way to play backups with mod chips? Which is the best mod chip out right now for the 360. I bought my x360 sometime in january so I don't think I have one of the v78 drives.

There is a way to do it without modchips.  All that is required is a fairly simple DVD firmware flash.  Read the tutorials in the DVD-ROM Tech forum for more info.  Modchips are one way to go....but not easily updatable for the future.
