Question About Globe 360

does anyone know if this new modchip will allow for me to change dvd drives?.  I FUBARED my current dvd drive, but if i buy this chip will i be able to swap out for a dif 360 dvd drive.. sort of like the old xbox chips... you could use a new hdd without a problem?.. ok well thanks..
