Just why do you people keep saying its cheaper to flash a drive when it isn't for most. I guess if your a computer nerd and have a special sata mother brd with the right chip set on it already its cheaper. Otherwise one needs to go out and buy a new mother brd or go buy a special sata pci add on brd that has to have just the right chip set on it. But for most of us we are here for console games. We really don't want to upgarade our computer every year, NOW THATS A WASTE OF MONEY. Then even if you do have the right hardware its another crap shoot for a newbie to find out which firmware to use for which drive. Just ask the thousands of " please help dead drive after flash " posters how cheap it was for them. I see very few please help posts in the mod chip forums. I have a chip and it works great. And I'm still using my 1 ghz amd proccesor to surf this site and do everything but play last of the dying breed of computer games.

Right, so buying a $10 pci sata card is a waste of money vs the $40 chip you bought? Plus, you probably paid someone to solder it in for you, so that cost even more. Not to mention the fact that if you bought it and soldered it in yourself you could have the same end result, a dead drive. So, in the long run, when there is a new hack for the 360, say a modchip that costs another $50, you'll pay for that again to upgrade your 360? That contradicts your notion of upgrading your pc. I would much rather go with the $10 card and learn for myself.

Can someone tell me how to flash my dvd drive in the xbox 360? Will the Fractal 360 Mod Chip allow you to download games on a hard drive to play later? Please help if you need to send personal instructions please send it to [email protected]. Also if you need an additional xbox 360 I can tell you how to get one for free. I got my xbox 360 for free and waiting on the PS3 to come out so I can sell it on ebay. Thanks a bunch for all your help.

I recommend the same method you used for the "free xbox 360", follow someone from the store & steal it from them in the parking lot. To flash a drive use a flashlight

Seriously though, you can only run backups from DVD+DL. Nothing else, and please keep that "free" crap to yourself... and read some tutorials ffs, no point copy/pasting them here
