Pioneer Burner Clarifacation (nme V1.1)
« on: September 23, 2006, 03:30:00 PM »

Hello,

I just need a little clarifacation. I have read several posts regarding the use of a Pioneer 111d to make backups for the NME v1.1 Mod. Everyone seems to have no succes. I just wanted to know if my pioneer 110d will work for this chip for making backups with the NME v1.1. Any replies will be greatly appreciated

Thanks, Sonky

Uh.. Yeah,

I have read that post but the wierd thing is that the reason people are saying the 111d doesnt work because it sets the booktype to DVD-Rom, well my 110d does the same thing in that the booktype is automatically set to dvd-rom as well. So im wondering what the difference is.? I would like to see if someone else has a pioneer 110d with an NME v1.1 so I can be sure before I purchase one. Thanks, for the reply tho

Thanks, Sonky

UNfortunitly no support from Team underdog been two weeks with several emails with no response.

Contacted foundmy, there response buy another burner.

But as i remember the nme 1.1 for hitachi was sold with support for pioneer 111d and GUESS WHAT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!!

From there site:

"Anyway, with the new NME-360 v1.1 Chip life got so much easier for everybody and especially for those who bought a Pioneer 111D burner when all that progress started."

Yeah life got easier wasting dvd +r's!

Yes firmware mod and burning with 110 and 111d work.

But using a pioneers 111d and burning backup for a NME chip does not work.

Wonder why NME group is quite now, i'm ready todo firmware mod and tell anyone to stay away from chip and none support if i here or see nothing by end of this week ( equal 3 weeks and 12 emails unanswered )

It's fucking shit, people really need to stop buying this mod.

I can verify this. I purchased an NME 1.1(Hitachi)and installed it with a difficult time with 3 of the solder points. Either way, i got it installed and tried 2 different backups. Followed the steps on their website precisely. Both games would start to load then come up with the error that it cant read the disk to try and wipe it with a soft cloth or reboot the console. I thought i had made a few coasters. Got tired of pissing with it so i flashed drive with 2.1 and mediacheck 2 firmware, put both backups in and they booted with no problems.

So i have to agree with the people here, it's over priced and a pain in the ass to install. Not to mention, i dont know of anyone that actually got this thing to work. Good luck if you decide to buy one.

Forgot to mention i used a NEC6650 DL drive for the burns.
