Cddissect
« on: December 31, 2003, 01:53:00 PM »

Hi All,
When using cddissect v1.2 on Win XP Pro.
I type cddissect monsterlair or cddissect -alt monsterlair but get the error message:
'CDDISSECT' is not a recognized internal or extrnal command, operable program or batch file.

What am i doing wrong or missing.  Any help would be appritiated.

Thanks
ezryel

You need to type the entire path.  Like this:

"C:\Program Files\CDdissect\cddissect.exe" -alt GatesOfThunder

You do need the quotes.  The -alt may not be necessary, but that was the method I had to use on my system to get CDdissect to work.

Backslashes require a "double up" on this board. "\\" becomes "\"

Secondly, this is in the WRONG place. This is "homebrew" - all apps written FOR RUNNING ON THE XBOX that don't fit other categories already started.

Moving to emulators (since this app seems to be XPort's tool to rip PCE discs for usage in his Xbox-based emulator), but might have also gone into "utilities" without complaint (which is the place for Xbox-related PC/Mac apps)  <

Thanks Thraxen,

I got the .exe to run and extract the cue and iso.
But I get errors when the mp3s are being dumped.

"Dumping AUDIO track #1 - steamhearts1.mp3.... "
"Error loading lame-enc.DLL"

This is stated for every track.

I guess this is some sort of driver but is it for the WIN XXP Pro I'm running or something additional I need for the CDDISSECT.

I'm ripping from PCE games burned to CD-R.  The disks work in the Turbo Duo.  Does this make a difference?

Thanks,
Andrew

You probably don't have the "lame_enc.dll" file in your CDdissect directory.  Do a search for it on your PC, it's probably there somewhere.  Then just drop a copy of it in the CDdissect directory.  If you don't have it, let me know an I can just e-mail it to you... it's only 200 KB.

It shouldn't.
