What is with all the secrecy regarding the Avalaunch screenshots?  There was no information ever posted on it, just the screenshots.  I'm pretty sure it was running on a devkit, but nobody ever confirmed that??  My question is why not? The screenshots are just as bad as the fake modchips in my eyes.  I'm not saying the screenshots are fake, I believe they are real.  I would just like to know why it gets announced and then no more information for a long time (or ever)?  If it was running on a devkit (which it probably was) why not say that?  I'm sick of Devil360 and the screenshots, no information and a false hope is all it gives us.

I know someone who worked in a small part on the supposed Devil 360 modchip that was ever released. He claims the only reason it wasnt released was that there was a die problem when making the chips. From the little the person told me it involved capturing packets and modifing them. I personally dont know how they got around the signatures.

indiraider, I remember reading a thread that you started that stated just that, but then the thread was moved to the bin

If you're still in contact with this friend, send me his info so I can do some research on him.  Then, tell him to hurry his ass up because they found that info 5 months ago.  That's a long time to make a chip.  And if they had problems with a die or something, they could have switched manufacturers or at least explain themselves.  They left the scene hanging with no information.  I waited all day 6/7/06 waiting for that "news tomorrow" and it never showed up, and still hasn't to this day.

My friend is as clueless as you. As I said he played a very small part in the chip and its sort of a friend of a friend of a friend, etc........
But for one thing he does know there was atleast and attempt or effort by the dev team of Devil 360 to go and pay him for his work.

I think this is problem with MS. If they  would say how can you run unsigned code from x1, ms can react and block this possible atack. And if M$ can't react, teams like xecuter have many time to test this hole and release the best option/chip/exploit smile.gif

IMO..

The Xbox 360 running Avalaunch is a fake, and its not running on a debug or a dev kit.On a 360 dev or debug cannot play on xbox live, they play on partnernet. Also if you plug a dev kit or a debug unit into a open internet source and your not a licensed developer MS can track you down thru your internet connection as it very illegal to have one in your possession.

The videos on youtube are fake.  But the screenshots posted here were real AFAIK.  Xantium, Angerwound, Xboxexpert, HSD and Team Xecuter all backed it.  All big people in the scene, people you can trust.  But let's not turn this into another fake/real thread.

Anybody know if any more information will be released on a homebrew mod or no?

Those screens or from a dev or a debug unit running Avalaunch, its not very hard to upgrade  the hdd or to get avalaunch running as a dev and debug units run unsigned code.
