Nme-360 Underdog Chip Questions.
« on: July 16, 2006, 05:43:00 PM »

I sent an email to them asking these but hey someone might know some answers to these here

1. Are there 2 seperate chips for each drive?
2. Do I have to solder the wires to the chip itself?
3. On the install picture for samsung, where is 3 and 4?
4. Is the firmware already on the chip?
5. Can you put new firmware on the chip, if so what method?
6. Does the chip send with instructions?
7. Do wires ship with the chip?
8. Where exactly is the chip being installed too?

Also ive been reading around here that people have to reflash their drive for each new game or something like that? Someone mind explaining to me what thats about? Also im guessing that the underdog chip doesnt have that problem. Thanks pop.gif

Not to go off topic, but I should be recieving mine today also.
According to the review of the chip, the reviewers say you cannot use a backup copy of your own. You have to download the game from the internet, and convert. Is this true?
Is there no other options? I have made an image with wxripper, but have done nothing to the image (no patching) Could I not use this method and patch with this chips SS?
I would like to know, I ordered it C.O.D, and want to know if i should refuse it.

Thanks

you can rip your own using wxripper, make sure image is 7.05 gb, then patch ss.bin with ss merger 1.6, then run underdog NME conrter and burn.

BE AWARE if you have a pioneer 111D, it will not burn the disc properly and game will not boot.  I had to use my Lite-on SOHW-1693S to get the games to boot

say if you do download from sites and the iso is not 7.03 gb it will not work ?

From The Rules
I'll state it very simply.. Do not discuss pirate downloads. If you are backing up your own games then enjoy the forums, but if you are downloading warez releases then we don't want to hear about it. At all.

Don't say:

- "I'm going to try/am trying/tried 'warez release X'".. that just tells the world you downloaded it.

- "Does 'warez release Y' work with the TS-H943 hack?".. we don't care, we're not here to help you pirate.

- "No, really, I'm just interested in the hypothetical possibilities that 'warez release Z' might work with...".. see above, then take the discussion elsewhere.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards piracy, and any post that shows member is engaging in piracy will be suspended or banned.

If anyone else takes this topic down the same road the thread is over. So please respect the original poster and don't ruin this for him

I'm trying to install the 1.1 chip to my samsung, but noticed the network connection (connection 10) is different than the instructions. The underdog diagram says to connect the wire to the left of R1B12, however that resistor is swapped with the 2 white dots that are to the left of R1B10.

Where should I terminate?
