I'd just like to point out that their site is actually suffering from an overload.  If you refresh the page a few times, you might get lucky and actually see a page.

to everyone, their site definitely was up earlier and I for one contributed to the too many hits that brought the site down.

My best guess is that their sever was not overloaded, they simply just replaced the main page with this custom one. Again just a guess, if anyone finds any obvios flaws in my theory, please feel free to point them out. Thanks - Nate

EDIT: BTW, why would they be using version 1.3.33 of apache when apache is at release 2.2.2?? Seems a little odd to me.

You may have seen news about this on xbox-scene

I think I know who is doing this, I haven't had the chance to speak to him yet BUT if it is this friend of mine then you can be sure it is a very very low level hardcore hardware hack - but a very working one too.

if i'm also correct it won't be cheap - so you can be sure to see many alternative products and im sure other people will probably release the dvd firmware too (NOTE: Disclaimer to those who think about conspiracies all day - this does not mean Xecuter). June 2006 should be interesting.

EDIT

OK its not who i thought it was - the Spider team are behind whatever this is - so I give it zero credibility tbh

This is a quote from Team Xecuter's Forums, the author is Xecuter... Untill any new "evidence" or proof of a modchip rises, i follow Xecuter...

Can we try to back up our arguments with facts, and not pure personal opinions. Noone has even adressed the source of the page that i posted, and the difference between that and a default apache error message. Thanks - Nate

However we did not manage to get the product ready for today (6/6/6), because we are working hard on improving it to:
* Try to protect it from any type of update
* Make it programmable via PC
* Boot unsigned code
* Allow to swap HD with larger drive with a special interface between the 360 and the HD (all types IDE/SATA).

The 'chip' needs to be IMPROVED to 'run unsigned code'? LOL
Isnt this the sole purpose of a modchip?

so how long would it take to "improve" it to boot unsigned code???........
how long's a piece of string??
all will be answered by 6-6-6666.....hopefully

P.S. I HOPE TO EAT MY WORDS MORE THAN ANYONE HERE!!!

Did you not read the proof that I posted?  If you refresh the page enough times, eventually you WILL get the page to load.  Try it for yourself.  If you still don't believe me I'll take a screenshot.

You know, people will just bitch and bitch and bitch about anything.  And yep, I'm bitching.

For those that are like, "I'm gonna wait for someone reputable like Xecuter to release something".  Hey numbnuts, who do you think Xecuter was before the xbox?  And thats not meant to be offensive to Xecuter.  Just because there may be a new team on the block, doesnt make them illegitimate.

Does this mean I believe them to be legit, I dont know.  Actually, I dont care.  Until I see an X-S review, I wont.  But I'd lean to it having some sort of credibility.  Xantiums post has already alluded to that.  And if it is fake, I'm sure we will all see HSDemonz in here quite bluntly telling us as much.  Cattykid has a point, X-S doesnt easily put their rep on the line.

Why couldn't they have waited untill the product was completed, sent prototypes to scene sites to review it, then, scene sites anounce a working xbo360 mod-chip.  Instead making asses out of themselves by planning the release of a product nowhere near completion because they want to release it on "the day of the beast". Shows what type of people they are, whether the chip is real or not.

People screw up and deadlines aren't met sometimes.  Its how the real world works.  Look at every major video game, do they usually come out when the developers originally say they will?  Most of the time, the answer is no.  These people want to release a quality product, and if it means missing their announced date, then so be it.  If this chip turns out to be true, I don't mind waiting another month or two.  And everyone needs to quit complaining about their page not working.  The error reported clearly says it could be down due to capacity problems, meaning they exceeded their daily bandwidth.  Get over it, try the page tomorrow.

And as for the sheltered tard whose post I quoted, you shouldn't judge people based on your religious beliefs.  Just because they were trying to latch on to a marketing gimmick doesn't make them Satan worshipers.  Satan isn't real anyway, and God probably isn't either.

Not that I believe this yet, but

"The 'chip' needs to be IMPROVED to 'run unsigned code'? LOL
Isnt this the sole purpose of a modchip?"

How many of us have seen the 360 bios (especially decrypted)? How do you know if it would be just as easy to disable an 'original disc check' as a signed executable check on *this* console?
