Didn't they say that it won't ship with any code, but then say that it's not yet able to be programmable via PC? Then how on earth are you supposed to get code on it to make it do something?

Peeps, I wanted to bring back a post from last april and point to the hacked Hynix chip that the Devil360 team indicated that they had expolitedback then. Presumably this is the key to their announced hack, heres the pic:

There is a topic in another forum relating to this from April:

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=507186

I've not seen this referenced in this thread but the other topic has been posted to today, not sure if everyone reading this super long thread of the decade has seen this topic.  huh.gif

Yeah, if this chip is legit and it comes out, more will obviously follow form other teams. when it gets to the point where you can run Linux on the 360 and there are homebrew apps made for it, that's when I'll start to pay half a thought about investing in one of these consoles. NOT until.

Whether we realize this or not, we've already got the ball rolling to setting a precedent for the news of legit mod chips for any next gen consoles. The message that is unwittingly being sent is as follows:

"Don't bother telling us unless you can prove your product is real"

That is a rather dangerous statement considering the field that everyone here is in (After all, it's considered illegal to even OPEN your console), seeing as how the law structure is being changed as we speak. For all we know, the next day, MS could order a raid on the chip companies because they're protective of their precious "unhackable" console (Doesn't matter where. After all, a famous foreign website was recently taken down because an American company ordered it). And all of this negative talk will only dissuade otherwise intelligent engineers from working on legit modifications.

These naysayers.......why the fuck are they even here (I stopped reading the posts after page 6. Too much of the same)? It's obvious they could care less about the homebrew scene, and even more less about Linux being on their high-def gaming platform. I've adopted a "Wait and see" stance on this Devil360 product. There's all sorts of reasons why the site could be down. My guess?: Too many people were looking and D360 couldn't handle the mass-traffic.......yet. As for the product itself? There's nothing wrong with saying "I've got a feeling we've got something going here, and we'll keep you posted on our progress."

There may not be a picture, yet, but it's something. Something is anything, and anything can be good as long as you're patient about it. We've all been patient before, let's.....let's just wait and see what's going on here before we start calling bullshit.

their site was 100% copy of the gcloader site in the past! 100% the same! it also had only a mail address field by which you received the same standard automated message! that gcloader is 100% proved scam! they promissed to make a hdd mod for the nintendo gamecube. please follow more scene sites than this one alone!

watch the new devil360 site: only thing i could read was (soon)^x where soon equals an amount greater than 1

Truth be told I am with the majority here and see this as nothing more than a publicity stunt from a bunch of dudes that have nothing better to do than waste ppl's time with their pseudo dream.

I don't care what anyone says there's no way 'they' are going to send prototypes before they've secured a deal and milked the first generation of customers because you can be sure whoever gets their hand on this holy grail  won't just evaluate it! its not like they can apply for a patent on their miracle chip is it?

A few others here have mentioned (rightly so imo) that xbox-scene shouldn't necessarily give them so much publicity, without first at least hearing some details but so far its just a pretty site and a bunch of words, nothing tangible.

Right okay, this is my VERY first post, Im popping my cherry!    mad.gif <---My cum face

I have been stalking these forums on X-S and Xboxhackers for quite some time now and have never posted due to lack of time ( I work extermely unsociable hours and work 6 and even 7 day weeks ).  This is what I feel I have to get off my chest.  Have *A*N*Y* of you moaning unappreciative little BASTARDS ever worked on something SO much, literally your 'heart and soul' was put into it?  I have and I'm sure VIRTUALLY ALL of the more senior members have.  Now relate this to Devil360.com.  Yes, they did create hype hoping to give xb360 owners a ray of hope to boot "backups", unsigned code, and eventually lead the way to run linux and media centers etc at a time when not many had post good news for the xb360 scene.  Devil360.com created the hype, and THEY ABOVE ALL WILL FEEL MOST DISAPPOINTED, more so than the screaming little brats on these forums! They wanted to release a product and of course they wanted to cash in - thats what business' are all about - TO MAKE MONEY! Now ALL of you pessimists out there answer this truthfully and honestly .. Q. Would pictures and/or videos and/or specific info really have made that much difference to your pessimism? I don't think it would.  I imagine hundreds of thousands if not millions of people tried accessing devil360.com on 06-06-06 and nearly ALL felt anxious and let down by the devil360.com team for not having a working product.  Relate that to the world - Q. How many of us have bought "faulty" products at a price above £50 / $30 ? I do ALL the time and I'm sick of it. I feel many companies release products FAR too prematurely without going through strict quality control leaving the end consumer disappointed and let down AFTER PARTING WITH MONEY! NO SINGLE PERSON HAS PARTED WITH *ANY* MONEY - and Devil360.com team have certainly not asked for any! So why the bitching?! Now would you rather Devil360.com take their time and ensure their product is all it promises to be AND more (meaning a delay in their products release), or would you rather have something that may or may not work in your hands now? I know what I would go for...

Just remember in your office at work, or if your still at school (which most of the swines in here still are!) how often do you miss deadlines? How often is it because you got sidetracked? People prioritise in life because it is needed.  Maybe you're a little disappointed now but in the long run I feel Devil360.com will release a product that will amaze all xb360 owners - now weigh up the disappointment felt now by an end product that will transform an already amazing piece of technology later on.

Devil360.com has my confidence without a shadow of a doubt.

One final thing (you'll be glad to hear)... Is it possible nobody from X-S has commented on Devil360.com because they are actually heavily involved in this item, and not because of a conspiracy theory that they "know" something but do not want to share (Gollum from LOTR comes to mind  **MY PRECIOUSSS** ).  As far as I'm aware X-S are VERY honest and do not DECIEVE unlike many sites.  And if they are involved to develop this product I don't think they would advertise it because then more hype is raised, and X-S do not like "hype" especially when it would recreate the hype and disappointment felt throughout the xb360 scene (regarding 06-06-06) - they prefer factual evidence, or more so in this case (dare I say) "their" FINAL 100% WORKING PRODUCTS to announce.  And how do you know X-S arent the owners of the site? I'm not basing this on any evidence whatsoever, I'm just throwing some possibilities out there ... ... ... ... ...

PS Thanks to anyone who has really made a good impact on the scene, and also my hat goes off to all those who have kept me coming to this forum by posting genuine sincere intelligent posts.

I really wish there was a hat emoticon I could use here . .

Exactly they created hype, but hype my friend is useless.

Maybe their objective is to force the hand of someone who has a REAL solution?
That is a very real possibility and one that could lead to something good.
But with 'their' track record we have to assume they are blowing smoke.

I think MR Buga Wuga has some very well thought out and valid points, and deserves a tip of the hat himself (apparently there's not a "props" emoticon, either).

I'm personally still on a wait and see level myself, not ready to commit true hope as I don't want to be disappointed, and not ready to write it off as there are a lot of things that can delay release dates (any PS3 fanboys out there?...if not how about Godfather for the 360?).

But the way I look at it, getting pissed off and bitching can only accomplish a couple of things:
1.) It'll serve as therapy in an open forum.  While I agree that this can be valuable in certain circumstances, if you need therapy because you find out someone in the world has at one time either deceived you or has made a mistake in their announcement, you're in for a long, hard life.

2.) It will deter people from offering information (and possibly expediting the development process through  recruitment into dev teams/open discussion with people who might be able to help when there are questions).

I will say that Devil360 shouldn't have announced it would have a product ready and reneg, but so fuckin what?  YOU'VE never been late?  You've never hit a snag?  I've learned not to give time estimates on car repairs or electronics set ups because the projects always take longer than you think they will.  Maybe they shouldn't have said it would be out on the 6th, it's like when I told my girlfriend it would only take me about 20 mins to replace her alternator, but people can't always deliver when they said they would.

Whether Devil360 is real or not, someone will come out with a chip for Linux/unsigned code.  And it'll probably still be a while before it's stable.  There will be ways to mod, and they'll get here when they get here.

Well I know one thing for sure. X-S modding staff are not pussies, and backing down from this. If this is what x-s posts, and does not back down, i think its legit
