1) JTAG and RGH are two different methods of obtaining the same goal unsigned code. you can only JTAG a console that has dash kernal lower than 7371, and you can only RGH a console that has dash lower than 15XXX currently (RGH 3.0 not released yet). DO NOT UPDATE YOUR CONSOLE PRIOR TO MODDING!!
2) see above boot times are dependant on hack and method/hardware installation.
3) you should invest in a JR programmer and i personally prefer TX products such as the CR3 and the quick solder boards very professional and easy to install.
4) if you want to boot ixtreme backup discs you will need to flash the drive. if you want you can leave the drive stock and extract games to a dvd+r dl and they will boot but these discs will not boot on a flashed console. i always flash the drives in JTAG/RGH consoles why exclude a feature?
5) building a prob is simple but if you want to buy one then id go for a CK3 connectivity kit plus probe.
6) you can only dual NAND with a RGH install as a JTAG would have ite efuses blown and lose the hack. you can RGH the console now and install the dual NAND setup later but if it were me id do it all at once.
7) yes you can install any size hard drive, but if you go dual nand, the hdd wont work in retail mode whilst on live.
internal is faster, a SATA connection is way faster than USB 2.0
9) SMB loading works through a plugin within a custom dashboard known as FSD, a must have for JTAG/RGH owners. works pretty well on a wired connection, not on wireless.
10) hit the team xecuter website sign up to the forums and read their tutorials, theres tons of other websites available too i just prefer TX.
11) DONT UPDATE YOUR CONSOLE!! READ READ READ!!!
