how come everybody is doing lpt, why not usb programmers?

Price. I think the cheapest usb programmer for the Xilinx CPLD is about $50, whereas the diy LPT cable is almost free.

Hi, I am trying to figure out this schematic, it's been a few years since I had to read one.

I just wanted to confirm am I planning this right?

D1, D2, D3 connects to the glitch chip and also the corresponding resistors.

The resistors are then connected together.

Pin 18 is then connected to the joined resistors.
Pin 18 and the joined resistors are then connected to GND on the chip

Pin 8, 11 and 12 are connected

Pin 13 is connected to R4. R4 is connected to TDO and also R5. R5 is then connected to VCC.

What Value is R4?  is it just 220 ohm or is there a 220R value?  can't find it at radioshack.

Lpt jtag programmers are so cheap to make, and they only take 2 seconds to program a coolrunner. No need to use USB to program a coolrunner if you have an lpt port.

Thank you Antman1 and Shintax909 for the tips, remove the diodes make everything work perfect.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) One question, do I need to keep the Matrix Glitcher 360 solder to the 360 board all the time to keep RGH to work?

i think you do (atleast CR needs to stay, so i presume every chip has to stay)

anyone has a nice clean guide how to make jtag cable and a cable to program the chip? most of the guides presume you already own the cable, or have the know-how to do it from listed materials.
